Fabrizio Romano has reported Saudi Pro League interest in the Liverpool defender

This summer has been marked by the irruption of the Saudi Pro League in the European transfer market, as several world-class players who were in the big teams in Europe, have decided to join the various teams in Saudi Arabia, where they offer them astronomical salaries that end up seducing the players.

It all started with the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr in January this year and just a few months later other world-class players such as Neymar, Benzema, Kanté and others have decided to follow in his footsteps and play in the Arab league. Our Liverpool have not been exempt from losing important players to the economic might of the Saudi Pro League, as this summer we lost our captain Jordan Henderson and a player who was projected to be a starter, Fabinho.

However, it now looks like we could lose another very important player as, according to Fabrizio Romano, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané's Al-Nassr are reportedly very interested in Liverpool defender Joe Gomez, who is valued at €22m according to Transfermarkt. According to the Italian journalist, Al-Nassr would consider Joe Gomez a versatile defender capable of playing anywhere in the back line.

How much would Al-Nassr pay for Joe Gomez and what does Liverpool think?

It has not yet been revealed whether Al-Nassr have made or plan to make a formal offer for Joe Gomez, however if they do it would have to far exceed his market value. However, it seems that no matter what they offer Liverpool have no intention of selling any more players before the close of the transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano and Simon Jones, two of the most reliable journalists.
